MetaGen operates in line with various methodologies including that of the International Society of Neuro-Semantics “ISNS”. The ISNS is an international organisation. René Barnard is an internationally qualified ACMC , and received her Coaching Master Class qualification in Nov 2018 through the IMCSA (SA).
She holds memberships with the International Society of Neuro-Semantics (ISNS), COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa), Metacoach Foundation (MCF) and International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Renè qualified as Master Coach in October 2018 from The Institute of Management Consultants & Master Coaches South Africa.
About renÉ
“I gained 22 years’ experience in the corporate industry, starting as a marketing assistant up to my last position as Director of CTI (Computer Training Institute (Pty) Ltd). Here I grew the company from a loss making entity to a R52m pa profit company.
As part of the executive team of CTI, my role was a combination of operational work and corporate responsibilities. CTI’s size required that I have a close relationship with the 10 branch managers on operational issues such as HR, administration and finance. At the same time I was intimately involved with the strategic issues of the organisation such as expansion, policies, chairing the managers’ meetings, product development strategies, international accreditation and marketing policy.
During 2003, I realised that I was coaching informally for the last five years of my career and because I have a passion for people and their development, I decided to coach full-time. I qualified as an Associate Certified Meta-Coach with the ISNS. I am also a member of the MCF (Meta Coach Foundation), ISNS (International Society of Neuro-Semantics), COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa) and ICF (International Coaching Federation).
I studied topics including Marketing, Sales, Strategic Planning, HR Practices, Emotional Intelligence and Financial Management. I was also co-author of various articles on business coaching and the challenge that women face in leadership roles which appeared in Destiny, Succeed and Entrepreneur Business Magazines.
My strengths as an Executive Meta-Coach are my understanding of the corporate world and the challenges faced by leaders. I am compassionate yet at the same time I hold my clients accountable to their potential. I offer coaching in either English or Afrikaans.”
